IWD’s location provides essential access to the national air transportation system.
Denver Air Connection has been selected by the U.S. Department of Transportation to provide Essential Air Service (EAS) to Ironwood, Michigan/Ashland, WI using their 50-seat Embraer ERJ-145 or 30-seat Dornier 328 regional jet aircraft, for the two-year term from October 1, 2021, through September 30, 2023.
DAC will provide six weekly nonstop round trips to Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) and six weekly nonstop round trips to Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP), at a first-year annual subsidy of $3,398,947, and a second-year annual subsidy of $3,466,926.

Airport Seasonal Employee
The Gogebic-Iron County Airport is accepting applications for a
snow removal position. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation is
required along with a valid driver’s license and basic computer
knowledge. Must pass background check and drug screen.
Schedule varies depending on snow.
Applications may be picked up and returned to the Manager’s office
or downloaded from the link below.
