The Gogebic-Iron County Airport is dedicated to monitoring the development of COVID-19. We want to assure everyone that our primary focus is the safety and health of our passengers, pilots, staff and community.
TERMINAL: IWD provides essential air service to our area and will remain open for those where essential travel is required. The terminal is open with access limited to ticketed passengers and staff only. Masks are required. Individuals dropping off or picking up ticketed passengers are to remain in their vehicles and refrain from entering the terminal.
FBO: The FBO is open with access limited to pilots and staff only. Masks are required.
Individuals and staff must maintain six feet of social distancing recommended by the CDC within the terminal and FBO.
Airport Maintenance Employee
The Gogebic-Iron County Airport is accepting applications for a full-time airport maintenance position. Job duties include aircraft fueling, airport inspections, customer service, janitorial, mowing, plowing and maintenance on equipment and buildings. Prior aviation experience is desired. Knowledge of mechanics and heavy equipment operation are required along with a valid driver’s license. Must pass background check and drug screen. Schedule varies – position primarily includes afternoons, weekends and holidays. Benefit package including health, dental, vision and life insurance, pension, paid holidays and PTO.
