The Gogebic-Iron County Airport is dedicated to monitoring the development of COVID-19. We want to assure everyone that our primary focus is the safety and health of our passengers, pilots, staff and community.
TERMINAL: IWD provides essential air service to our area and will remain open for those where essential travel is required. The terminal is open with access limited to ticketed passengers and staff only. Individuals dropping off or picking up ticketed passengers are to remain in their vehicles and refrain from entering the terminal.
FBO: The FBO is open with access limited to essential travel pilots and staff only. Visitors must refrain from entering the FBO.
Per Governor Whitmer’s recently enacted Stay Home, Stay Safe order, if your travel is not considered essential, please reconsider your travel plans for a future date.
Individuals and staff must maintain six feet of social distancing recommended by the CDC within the terminal and FBO.
MEETING: The Gogebic-Iron County Airport Board meeting on April 13, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. will be held by teleconference in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Runway 9/27 Closure:
The Runway 9/27 Rehabilitation and Runway Lighting Reconstruction project is scheduled to close the runway from June 1 – July 15, 2020 and August 13 – 20, 2020.
